Protecting your privacy is important to NEC BIGLOBE, Ltd. ("BIGLOBE") and we are committed to protecting all personal information in our possession or control. BIGLOBE will respond to individual complaints and questions relating to privacy, and will investigate and attempt to resolve all complaints, in most instances within 30 days.

Consent to Collection, Use and Disclosure

Except as permitted by applicable law, BIGLOBE will collect, use or disclose your Personal Information only in accordance with this Policy, in the manner and for the purposes stated herein. If BIGLOBE intends to use your Personal Information for any purpose not previously identified to you herein, or in the Policy as updated from time to time, we obtain your consent prior to doing so.

You may withdraw consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Information in accordance with this Policy at any time, subject to certain legal restrictions and reasonable notice to BIGLOBE. Note that if you withdraw your consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Information in accordance with this Policy, BIGLOBE may no longer be able to provide you with access to and use of the Site, and its different features and services.

Limited Collection and Disclosure

Except where otherwise required or permitted by law, BIGLOBE limits its collection of Personal Information to that which is reasonably required to provide our services or operate our business. Personal Information is only kept as long as necessary to satisfy the purpose or purposes for which it was collected, or to allow BIGLOBE to fulfill certain legal requirements.

Processing Information Outside of Your Country

In some circumstances, Personal Information collected and administered by BIGLOBE under the Policy may be processed and stored outside of your country by BIGLOBE or a third party processor, and such Personal Information may be subject to disclosure in accordance with the laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which the information is processed or stored. These laws may not provide the same level of protection as laws of your country.

Collection and Use of Your Personal Information

Our primary goals in collecting Personal Information on the Site are to provide you with superior service and to provide all visitors a smooth, efficient, and personalized experience while using our Site. For example, if you purchase services or applications, or request information on our Site, we use your Personal Information to fill your order or to provide you with the requested information.

The Personal Information we collect when you use our Site may include, among other things, your name, mailing address, phone number, e-mail address, credit card number and its expiration date and address, and job title. 2. Registering for Services on the Site

We collect Personal Information when you register for our service on the Site. We may use this Personal Information to facilitate your use of the service.

3. Requesting Technical Support or Services

We collect Personal Information from you when you participate in a promotional program or activity organized by BIGLOBE, including but not limited to seminars and sweepstakes. We use this Personal Information to administer the program or activity, to send you promotional e-mails, notify winners, and make the winners' list publicly available pursuant to applicable laws.

6. Location Data

When BIGLOBE offers location-enabled services, we may collect information about your actual location (such as GPS signals sent by a mobile device) or information that can be used to approximate a location (such as a cell ID), in connection with providing the above-mentioned location-enabled services.

7. Newsletters, Promotional E-mails, Special Offers and Marketing Messages

We collect Personal Information when you ask us (you "opt-in") to receive newsletters, promotional correspondence, special offers and other marketing messages. We use your Personal Information to provide you with newsletters, promotional correspondence and information by other means about services offered by BIGLOBE that we consider you may be interested in.

If you choose not to receive these communications ("opt-out"), we will not use the information you provide for this purpose. You can opt out at any time through the unsubscribe mechanism set out in each of our electronic communications, which tells you how to stop receiving them.

8. Contact Information

If you contact us, we may keep a record of your correspondence or comments, including Personal Information, in a file specific to you. We use this information to help us provide better customer service in the event you contact us again.

9. Aggregation

BIGLOBE may engage in aggregation of the Personal Information in its possession or control. Aggregation refers to BIGLOBE organizing de-personalized Personal Information in such a manner as to be useful for activities such as market research. BIGLOBE may use the aggregated Personal Information to conduct market research on such things as what kind of Site content sells well in certain regions and within certain age groups.

Access to your File

We establish and maintain a file of the Personal Information that we have pertaining to you for the purposes described in this Policy, as amended from time to time. You may access your file to review and for update the information therein by submitting a request us at privacy@ringreef.com.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent to others the Personal Information we collect on the Site. Unless we have your permission, we will share the Personal Information you provide online only with other NEC affiliate entities ("Affiliates") and/or third parties that provide services to BIGLOBE ("Service Providers"). Service Providers include third-party banking and processing agents and distribution institutions that process all orders and credit card transactions entered into by you on the Site. BIGLOBE shares your Personal Information with Service Providers to the extent it is necessary to facilitate the provision of their Services. BIGLOBE contractually requires such Service Providers it engages to observe the intent of this Policy. All Affiliates with whom we share Personal Information are also contractually bound to observe this Policy.

From time to time, we may be required to disclose Personal Information in response to a court order, subpoena, or government investigation, in accordance with applicable law. We may also disclose Personal Information in the course of reporting to law enforcement agencies any activities that we in good faith believe to be unlawful. We may also release certain Personal Information when we believe that such release is reasonably necessary to enforce or apply our Terms of Use or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others and ourselves.

Use of Cookies on Our Site

A "cookie" is a small data file transferred by a website to your computer's hard drive. We send cookies when you surf our Site, make purchases, respond to online surveys or polls, or request information. Account Protection

Your password is the key to your account on the Site ("Account"). Use unique numbers, letters and special characters to create your password, and do not disclose your password to anyone. If you do share your password or other Account information with others, remember that you are responsible for all actions taken in the name of your Account. If you lose control of your password, you may lose substantial control over the Personal Information contained in your Account and may be subject to legally binding actions taken on your behalf. Security of Your Personal Information

BIGLOBE takes reasonable steps to safeguard the security of your Personal Information in our possession or control, with physical, electronic, and managerial procedures that are appropriate having regard to the sensitivity of the information. For example, all Account data we collect, including Personal Information about our customers, is stored on a secure server and is protected against unauthorized access by physical security means.

We urge you to take every precaution to protect your Personal Information when you are on the Internet. Change your passwords often, use a combination of letters and numbers, and make sure you use a secure browser. BIGLOBE uses industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption on all parts of the Site where Personal Information is required. To make purchases on our Site, you must use an SSL-enabled browser. This protects the confidentiality of your Personal Information and financial information while it is transmitted over the Internet.

Children's privacy

BIGLOBE takes special care to protect the privacy needs of children under the age of 13 and encourages parents to be active participants in their child's online activities and interests. Our Policy is that we do not knowingly collect, use or disclose Personal Information about visitors under 18 years of age. If you are the parent or guardian of a minor under 18 years of age and believe that they have disclosed Personal Information to us, please contact us at privacy@ringreef.com so that we may delete the minor's information.

Applicable laws

BIGLOBE will protect your Personal Information in accordance with the laws of Japan.

Links to Third Party Websites

Other sites accessible through our Site ("Third Party Sites") may be owned and operated by third parties and have their own privacy policies and data collection, use and disclosure practices. Third Party Sites may send their own cookies to you, collect data, or solicit Personal Information. Please consult each Third Party Site's privacy policy, as this Policy does not cover, and BIGLOBE is not responsible for, the privacy policies or practices of such Third Party Sites.

Additionally, certain companies that place advertising on our Site ("Advertisers") may collect information about you, including Personal Information, when you view or click on their advertising, through the use of cookies. Please remember that we cannot control the collection of your information by these Advertisers, and that any such collection is subject to the separate privacy policy of each Advertiser's website ("Advertiser Policy").
